A brief history of the Ragdolls

The RAGDOLL is a breed of North American origin;
Developed since the 60s from the careful selection of the American breeder Ann Baker (pictured).
Its history is still shrouded in a certain mystery but what is certain is the fact that we are faced with a truly UNIQUE feline breed!
It is a cat of medium-large structure and with a semi-long, soft and silky or woolly hair to the touch and a particular colorpoint coat.
The eyes vary from light blue to more or less intense blue.
He is known and particularly stands out for his docile and calm temperament and affectionate nature.
The name Ragdoll (rag doll) derives precisely from the behavior of this cat which when taken in a relaxed arm becomes as soft as a doll.
The Ragdoll breed was recognized in 1971 in the United States, in 1987 in Europe and then also landed in Italy.
